Laser Assisted Gum Treatment

Gum treatment can be supported by LASER (beam of intense monochromatic light or photons). We don’t use antibiotics much at the BOST clinic and LASER can reduce the need for antibiotics in severe periodontal cases even more. We use the laser for local gingivectomy, ‘Zorro’ technique, depigmentation, operculectomy, peri-implantitis treatment etc.

We also use the LASER in addition to periodontal treatment and when we find specific periodontal pathogens in the microbiome testing. LASER treatment has a bactericidal effect, can penetrate pockets breaking down biofilms, heat created by LASER can reduce bacterial load, it increases rootsurface detoxification, has anti-inflammatory properties and is minimally invasive.
